I find great satisfaction in raising vegetables, and animals for our own table. We raise goats for their milk. Making cheese from that milk, meat from the cows and pigs, and growing vegetables for the family sustenance is such a joy! Some meals are completely from the farm, others are partially from the farm. God has given us all that we need!
The sheep, llama, rabbits and goats all give fiber to us. I love raising the animal, shearing, processing, spinning, and finishing that fiber for clothing, rugs, curtains, or whatever cloth we need. There is just a satisfaction in the whole process.
I still have a lot of learning about farm life, but I'm certainly enjoying the process, as well as the friends that come along and share!
